The 7 1/4 inch (or 184 mm) railway travels through the museum picnic grounds in a bushland setting. The miniature railway was introduced using the petrol locomotive and carriages, pictured below.
After the railway’s successful introduction at the Albion Park site, a larger locomotive was built, being “Strathalbyn II”. This diesel locomotive is now the main locomotive used on our running days.
As a safety requirement, persons wishing to travel on this ride must wear enclosed footwear.
