Wallaby

Our front icon Wallaby is being painted in the former AI&S livery as she was and in over time will see the completion of the works that includes internal cab painting and line works. It should be note that Wallaby was built in 1913 in the UK by Hawthorn Leslie & Co and worked at Hoskins  at Lithgow until it was transferred to Cringila and she worked until 1962 when taken out of service and then in 1963 was on static display at the former AI&S Visitors Centre and then donated to the ILRMS on December 1st 1978. Since arriving from the AI&S she has been painted in the maroon color then the blue and in 2025 has returned to the maroon livery.
